Ok...hey people..Iam really sorry fot not being able to update as often as I would have liked to. As I've already told you, Iam being steamrolled by exams.
Now...Iam not really sure about what Iam going to put in this post...Maria 'awww!' Sharapova has just won her third Grand Slam(Aussie Open)(Yawn!), India is standing upto the Aussie challenge in Adelaide..and also Novak Djokovic is taking on Jo-Wilfred Tsonga in the Aussie Open Men's Final Tomorrow...What? where's the f-word gone? I mean, where's Federer? long time since we've seen a final without Fedex!
I really think Djokovic deserves a place in the final..he showed an enormous amount of grit. He does have the markings of a great player..well, I guess he already qualifies as one! A few years ago, the tennis world had witnessed the Russian Revolution...now's the time for the Serbian Revoulution..yeah!
Novak Djokovic
Ana Ivanovic
Jelena Jankovich...all top ten players...all have been playing incredibly well from the past two years...Djokovic and Ivanovic have made two slam finals already, and if Djokovic wins tomorow, Lo! and Behold! Serbia's first singles Slam winner!
He's a funny guy...maybe, maybe, finally, as I've read in The Hindu, the prince behind the jester's mask is finally showing us his true colours..he took me by storm during this Aussie Open.
Okey so, All the best Novak!
I am really happy that the Indian cricket team has finally won a test in Aus! It was a great match! The Aussies looked hopeless..it was India all the way!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys..I finally made time to write something on my blog..Yeah, you know this is Jan and is a very hectic time for student all over India! Yupps..Tests, tests and more of those coming your way. It's very frustrating for people like me who are into last minute studies! As If this weren't enough, I 've got exams in my Law Class also!
I wonder who invented these exams! They are such a pain..
I have officially stopped going to College..It's been a long time since I went.
Anyway, that's not what I wanted to write about today. There's a lot going on in the Cricket world..Yeah..the old serpent, racism , has raised its ugly head again. Or sop they say..I seriously do not think Bhajji called Symmo a 'Monkey'. I think it was more like 'Maa ki....'..ohk think I really don't need to explain....
What the bloody hell went on? All the stupid drama before the Perth test and all..Captains in peace talks, Indian team withdraws its complaints on Hogg. And yeah pre-tournament agreements? Is this cricket, or what? Oh! hell..what did they think? that the Aussies are gonna reciprocate their 'gentlemanly' gesture? Oh..Get a grip..They are Aussies, not Gandhians..They played the whole game to their advantage, no Bhajji...to torment them..Were the Indians sleping?
Yes, I totally agree that the Aussies go all out to win. They have to realise several of their actions may disgust people round the Globe! This time I do agree that in the Sydney test..Brett Lee, too was a bit outta control. He was into a lot of 'gamesmanship', as he calls it or rather, a lot of sledging as I call it!
I am not even gonna touch the topic of umpiring in that test...It could have been a thriller, it could have been a 'ripper', it could have been one of the greatest Tests ever played, if it was'nt that the odds were laid soo heavily against one side!!!!!!
So, now in Perth the score card reads:
India 330
Australia 43/4 (14.3 ov)
That's all from moi, catcha ppl l8r!!!!!!!lol!!!

Ohk, this post just contains in random order a list of my favorite sporting stars!

Okey....u all know a lot about this fantastic multitalented guy...I can go on cooing forever..He's gotten his 250th test wicket recently...and yeah he's started the year on a high....and 2007 was pretty decent for him....

This is Lisa Sthalekar..she plays cricket for Australia..an awesome batswomen..and can bowl decently as well, I was bowled over by her cricketing abilities when the Aussie women came to the tour of India in 2004...And you the best part? She's half Indian!!!!!!!!

Talking about having decent years..this was one man for whom 2007 was truly a year to remember! My dear Cesc finally came of age, scoring brilliantly for the Gunners!

Well, Henin is the most artistic women's tennis player in my view..she's also the most decent. She lets her Tennis do all the talking..yup!This year was maybe on of the her most traumatic years...but she put her misery aside by winning 2 Slams! All the best Justine... u rock!

Hmm...Henry, what can I say about him....I still cannot understand why he left us....WHy? He's having an okey sort of a time at Barca...but, imagine if he was there right now, with the Gunners! Oh!well ,wadeva....I'll miss him..

Dravid Dravid Dravid....ayyo! Why? I guess he's had the worst year of his illustrious career. It was sad to see him abdicate the crown, but as they say, uneasy lies the head that bears the crown I really hope he was a rocking time this year.....

Hey people...I am back!!!!! Yeah..its me..I hope you liked Josh's attempts at anything literary. I thought he was quite good. Anyway, I am back! Feels good to be back!
And yeah....HAPPY NEW YEAR....
So, this is 2008, so what? It's a brand new year..It's the start of something new..So, I guess it's time for me to talk about something I've never talked about..I was going to break the news, but that dumbo Josh spoilt it! He's already made it public that I love ARSENAL! Yaaa....Go GUNNERS GO!!!
I am really surprised that till now, I did not write a single post about the beautiful game..My mistake. So, I liked the Gunners from a long long time. I thought they always had a very good game. And also, a very cute manager! You rule Arsene..I was pretty upset when Henry left Arsenal for Barcelona..I have a friend who wept for almost a month when Henry left( I would like to protect the privacy of my friends..srry, no names)
It's been four years since the Gunners won the EPL..Four long years. What a team that was..who won the League 3 times...

Arsenal have come a long way from the team formed by the group of workers at the Woolwich Arsenal Armament Factory, long ago in the year, 1888. Originally called , 'Dial square', they renamed themselves to Royal Arsenal, shortly afterwards...the name then was changed to Woolwich Arsenal. The prefix was dropped in the year 1913, when the team moved to Highbury.
The Gunners joined the Second Division in 1893 and were promoted in 1904. Success eluded them until the arrival of Herbert Chapman in 1925 when they won the league five times between 1930 and 1938 and the FA Cup twice. Chapman, who died in 1934, was also behind the renaming of the nearest London Underground station to Arsenal.
Arsenal had to wait until the 1970s for their next period of success. But their first double in 1971 was followed by several near-misses - finishing second in 1972, and losing three FA Cup finals and the 1980 European Cup Winners' Cup final.
It was not until the return of ex-player George Graham as manager that the club rose to greatness again - winning six trophies during his nine-year reign. That included League Cup success in 1987 and 1993, the FA Cup in 1993, the league title in 1989 and 1991 and European Cup Winners' Cup in 1994. Arsenal hold the enviable record of the most consecutive seasons in the top flight - 80 at present.
Now, coming to what is the most interesting part....Arsenal's Premiership history...here's an cool time line;
1992/93 - Win the FA Cup and League Cup double
1993/94 - Win the European Cup Winners' Cup
1994/95 - George Graham sacked. Stewart Houston becomes caretaker. Lose the Cup Winners' Cup final to Real Zaragoza
1995/96 - Bruce Rioch takes charge for one season before resigning
1996/97 - Arsène Wenger becomes manager. Signs Nicolas Anelka and Patrick Vieira
1997/98 - Win the FA Carling Premiership and FA Cup double
1999/00 - Sign Thierry Henry. Lose the UEFA Cup final on penalties to Galatasaray
2000/01 - Break club record transfer signing Sylvain Wiltord for reported £13million
2001/02 - Win the Barclay card Premiership and FA Cup double
2003/04 - Win the Barclay card Premiership without losing a match
2005/06 - Last season at Highbury. Lose the Champions' League final to Barcelona
2006/07 - Move to Emirates Stadium..
Now, after Henry left, I felt miserable...but thank God! Cesc is still in there..and yippee he's living upto his promise..before when I used say I liked Cesc people used to laugh...but now Cesc is having a golden year...
So....Go Cesc! and Go...GUNNERS! you rule! This is our year of glory!
